Voice Memos is a recorder, not a notes app
The honest mental model: Apple Voice Memos is the descendant of a tape recorder. Press record, record audio, press stop, file the audio. Apple intentionally doesn't extend it into a notes app because they own Notes for that. The problem is Notes doesn't transcribe. So even inside Apple's own ecosystem there's no built-in path from 'I said it' to 'I can find it later by typing the word I said'. Sprachmemo closes that gap.
Cross-device is the killer detail
Most thoughts worth capturing arrive on the move. You record from your phone, but you write back to them from a laptop. Sprachmemo is a browser app, so the same account sees the same recordings on iPhone, Android, laptop, work computer. Voice Memos can sync to a Mac via iCloud, but only inside Apple's walled garden.
